Went the funeral of Ms. Antoinette K-Doe this morning. If you want a taste of how New Orleanians deal with death, you can read about it here.
My non-profit renovated Ms. Antoinette's lounge, The Mother-in-Law Lounge, after Katrina. She became a good friend to the organization, hosting fundraisers at her lounge, feeding volunteers and serving on our Board.
She was a really unique and caring lady.
