I moved back to school, and am right in the middle of a week long band audition process (affectionately termed "Hell Week"). If you've ever been outside in central Texas in August, imagine training for feats of athleticism, all day in that heat, for seven days. Hence the "hell" of hell week.
My roomate moved in tonight, (whom I only just met). She's from Trinidad, and spent her summer working on an offshore oil rig... sooo exotic, and best of all, she doesn't collect miniature shoes.
I heard the most wonderful quote today:
"Life is a zoo, in a jungle."
