Kick a Buck

Here's a clever fundraiser from one of the local non-profit relief groups down here. We work with these guys alot. The director and his program manager pour all the money they get into the relief work. Neither of them have gotten a paycheck in months. Check it out... It's just a buck. But a thousand times over, it adds up. You'd be surprised how much work we can get done down here when you don't have to worry about labor costs. Real updates soon! --ames

KICK A BUCK!!

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!

Hello friends, family and friends of family and friends.
HELP OUR GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION RE-BUILD NEW ORLEANS

The Mardi Gras Service Corps is a small non-profit organization that has been re-building houses in New Orleans since shortly after Hurricane Katrina. Though we do not have Brad Pitt, Ellen DeGeneres or Usher, we do have hundreds of local volunteers and thousands of friends and family members that are willing to give a lot with just a little. With the power of this number of people in mind, we are asking you for a buck. We would be thrilled if you would like to give a bit more, but we only need one dollar and your help in forwarding this message to as many people as you know. Just think… If you donate a dollar and send this on to only ten people and they do the same for three more rounds, each of our dollars would provide enough money to re-build five houses and bring those families home. Just one more round and there would be enough for 50 more homes and families. Please follow the link below to our website and check out all of our programs. There you will also find a link to our donations page and the Kick a Buck fundraiser. This will direct you to a click n' pledge form that will accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal.

PLEASE RECOGNIZE THAT THE POWER IS IN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE INVOLVED. WITH SIX ROUNDS WE COULD COMPLETE OVER 300 HOMES. PUT YOUR DOLLAR AND YOUR ADDRESS BOOK TO WORK.

Thank you for your generosity and help.
