where the wild things are

I just bought a book for my soon-to-be-born neice/nephew. I bought Sendak's WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. It's one of my favorites. I also plan to get for him: the giving tree (silverstein), oh the places you'll go (suess, dr.) and the hungry little catepillar (unknown).

I feel like these are a good start for little stan or emma. later, though, i plan to introduce him/her to some more serious reading, like Harriet the Spy, and A Wrinkle in Time. Serious works, by serious authors, you know.

does anyone know how I can link to other diaries I like on my page? I've found some regulars, and I can't wait to share them with my thousands of faithful readers... errr... or with my sister and my future roomate. Whatever.
