YES. We are big nerds. I'm OK with that.
Anyway, there was a costume contest before the show, so of course we entered. We went as the Companion Cube and the Cake from Portal; One of the few video games I've really loved so far.
Those are my legs sticking out from underneath the cube.It ended up being a really fun evening. Here's a picture with a Portal fan who was dressed as the "Little Sister" from Bioshock.
It took a trip to Michael's and 2 evenings of crafting to get our costumes together. So even if you don't get why this is funny from a gaming perspective, at least you can appreciate the idea of Choi cutting out pink paper hearts after work.
