Trip to Texas!

We had a long weekend (Thursday - Monday) so Kenda, Choi and I road-tripped it down to Texas to see my folks, and do Texas things! This is Kenda and me riding a bull!

The three of us at the Mesquite Rodeo! That was pretty awesome.

I took them with my nieces to the Van Alstyne Drug Store. It's been there for about a hundred years, and the same lady has been working behind the counter that whole time. It's cool... and also one of the only things to see in Van Alstyne. (You can still get limeades there for a quarter!)

A real Texan Cowboy.

It was a really awesome trip full of family, good southern food, cowboys, television, ice, mattresses, and non-hurricane destroyed regions of the world!

Wow! Nothing like good old Texas fun! I remember that drugstore and their limeades. Yummy.

Ohh, man, those are the best limeades ever, too. Now I want one!

I know what you mean about missing all things Texas. I especially miss you, Amyjo. Sorry it's been so long since we've both been in Texas at the same time! Anyway, hope your Texas memories will keep you going back in the iceless hurricane destroyed places. :)
