The Southern-most Tip of the Country

Tomorrow, we're heading down to Key West, to do "environmental disaster relief." That means we're hauling debris and fallen trees from Hurricane Wilma out of lands owned by the Nature Conservancy.

We'll be sleeping in tents and eating off of cook stoves for three weeks, at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, past mile marker zero, at the very southern most edge of the country. They're supposed to have the most amazing sunsets, and crazy clear water. After three weeks, we'll move to another state park on West Sumerland Key, where we'll be removing a breeding fence that Wilma destroyed from the National Key Deer Refuge.

I am, needless to say, really excited about this project. I've never been to the Keys, but I love the beach, and the pictures look amazing. Needless to say, we're camping, so internet access will be limited. I don't know if I'll get the chance to post, unless I find a library near by, but I'll send plenty of snail mail.
